Fuel Saving – Warren Ritchie
”On the 13th December I fitted a fuel saver to my 2005 Cruiser 4.2 diesel. The consumption had been around the 7km per litre and has now improved to just over 8. This unit does work as I have now done 5020km using 619 Litres (most of these kilometres were with a load on the back). This doesn’t sound like much but for us who do many km’s per month this equates to a huge saving. “I fitted 2 fuel savers in my Ford Ranger 3.2 T6 Automatic and where I got 10km/l before I fitted the fuel savers, After I fitted, got 13km/l on normal conditions on the open road, that’s 30% saving. “Herewith my results with a caravan cruising to and from Warmbaths at approx 105 – 110km/h with my 2 liter Nissan X-TRAIL Petrol 2008 . To Warmbaths with unit fitted: 116.6 km’s used 12.46 liters @ 9.36km/l From Warmbaths unit removed: 114.2 km’s used 14.51 liters @ 7.87km/l. This equates to approx 19% improvement – excellent!!! The above was all highway and where I experienced the most pleasure was the increase of torque on the long gentle uphill’s.
